About the role

We are at an exciting stage of our development. So, we’re looking for an Interim Director of Campaigns to play a key role in supporting the organisation at a time when we’re navigating our way through the final stages of a strategy process so we’re ready to go into 2023 ready to realise our vision of ending the climate emergency by 2030.

This will involve coaching and supporting a talented team of campaign strategy leads as they finalise their plans but also alongside your leadership team colleagues agreeing budgets and resources and communicating with the broader organisation.

Alongside this, you will oversee the Campaign Department making sure our planned investigation and advocacy work is delivered on time and most importantly having an impact externally.

About you

This is a role that will require your experience and skills in empowering others through a process of change, harnessing their strengths and ideas, whilst uniting the whole organisation around one clear vision. The successful candidate will have direct experience and expertise in overseeing such processes, as well as an understanding that an organisation is only as strong as the sum of all its parts.  

You appreciate that climate breakdown affects everyone’s lives, and you understand that it is not felt equally with land and environment defenders and countries in the Global South bearing the impacts even though they have contributed least.
